A larger globe can be easier to see at distance, but it is not automatically brighter. A smaller node can support tighter geometry, but only if the mounting hole, cable bend and service access fit. Approve the effect with a representative mock-up.
1. Diameter is not pixel pitch
**Diameter** describes the housing. **Pitch** is centre-to-centre spacing in the installed layout. A 40mm product can be installed at 100mm pitch; that does not make it a P40 system.
For a straight length `L` and target pitch `P`, a first purchasing estimate is:
`point quantity = ceil(L ÷ P)`
The final CAD point list must handle corners, endpoints, openings and irregular curves.

The subtraction only exposes crowding. Use the exact dimensional drawing before drilling or ordering a panel.

Do not select power supplies from one assumed endpoint. Freeze a sample's voltage, LED count and measured agreed scene first.
40mm and 65mm stop gate
The current 40mm page leaves watts and IP as fields to specify [S3]. The 65mm page does not publish the voltage, watts or channel footprint in the evidence reviewed [S4]. Mark these **pending confirmation**; do not invent an electrical BOM.

Do not compare only price per point:

A smaller node at a tighter pitch may increase point count, controller outputs, connectors and drilling. A larger globe may reduce count, but can require more structural clearance and higher per-point load. Only a frozen layout and product version makes the quote comparable.

Is 65mm brighter than 26mm?
