Product overview:
WS2811 is a three-channel LED driver control dedicated circuit, the chip contains intelligent digital interface data latch signal shaping amplification driver circuit, also contains high precision internal oscillator and 15V high voltage programmable fixed current output driver. At the same time, in order to reduce the power ripple, the 3 channels have a certain delay conduction function, so that the circuit ripple can be reduced when the frame is refreshed.
The chip adopts the communication mode of single line return to zero code. After the chip is powered on and reset, the DIN end accepts the data transmitted from the controller. After the first 24-bit data is extracted by the first chip, it is sent to the data latch inside the chip. The remaining data is amplified by the internal shaping circuit and then forwarded to the next cascaded chip through the DO port. The signal is reduced by 24 bits for each chip. The chip adopts automatic shaping and forwarding technology, so that the number of cascades of the chip is not limited by signal transmission, only limited signal transmission speed requirements.
The data latch inside the chip generates different duty cycle control signals in the OUTR, OUTG and OUTB control terminals according to the received 24bit data. When the DIN terminal inputs the RESET signal, all the chips synchronously send the received data to each segment, and the chip will accept new data again after the signal ends. After receiving the initial 24bit data, the data port is forwarded through the DO port. Before the chip receives the RESET code, the original output of OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB pins remains unchanged. When the chip receives the low level RESET code above 50us, the output of OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB pins remains unchanged. The chip outputs the pulse width of the just received 24-bit PWM data to the OUTR, OUTG, OUTB pins. Available in SOP8 and DIP8 packages.
