12V or 24V Rigid LED Bar? Check the Finished Opening and Cut Step

A straight shelf or sign opening may be 950 mm long, but the light still has to fit after its cover, end treatment and wires are included. LIKELIGHT lists a 19 mm wide, 17 mm high single-colour rigid bar with 12V and 24V choices. Start by measuring the finished opening and deciding where the dark end gap can be. Then ask which cut version makes a sample that actually fits.

Ask for a cut-to-fit rigid bar sample

Measure the assembly, not only the light source

The published aluminum profile is 19 mm wide and 17 mm high. Leave room for the cover, wire exit, mounting and any end treatment in your actual slot. A bar that fits on paper may still touch a cabinet door or leave a visible dark end. Ask for the finished drawing and try it in one representative opening.

This is a straight, single-colour bar. If the design bends around a corner, a rigid stick will not follow it. If the project needs moving RGB pixels, ask for a different confirmed product: this product page title mentions RGB/DMX, while its detailed description calls L-R-A10060-2835 single colour.

Choose voltage by the required cut, then verify the orderable version

The product description says the 12V version cuts in groups of three LEDs and the 24V version in groups of six. With a listed 60 LEDs per metre, that suggests nominal 50 mm and 100 mm groups respectively. This is a planning estimate, not a promise of finished piece length; ask for the exact cut drawing and end allowance.

For example, if a design calls for a nominal 950 mm lit length, 19 groups of 50 mm fit that target on the 12V planning grid. The 24V planning grid has 100 mm steps, so 900 or 1000 mm are its adjacent nominal choices. The fabricated opening, cut marks and end parts must still be checked on a real sample. Do not choose voltage on this arithmetic alone.

Quote the version that was sampled

The page lists single-colour choices, clear or frosted cover options, and IP20/IP65 options. The headline describes more functions than the body, so ask LIKELIGHT to identify exactly which voltage, colour, cover, dimming and protection combination is available under the quoted model.

Have the quote show finished cut pieces, driver and dimmer compatibility, connection and mounting parts, any required sealing, spare pieces and total installed-system cost. The page does not state watts per metre; request the electrical data of the exact version before sizing supplies or feed runs.

Send one useful first enquiry

Send the opening width, depth and required visible length, the preferred light colour, approximate number of identical openings and destination. Add a sketch or photo if available. Ask for a drawing and a sample of one finished piece; approve fit and appearance before repeating it across a chain of shops.

Questions buyers ask

Is the 12V cut step always exactly 50 mm?

The 50 mm figure is a nominal estimate from 60 LEDs/m and three LEDs per cut group. Confirm actual marks and finished assembly dimensions.

Can I order this as RGB/DMX?

The page title mentions RGB/DMX but the detailed description says single colour. Request a written exact-version confirmation before budgeting RGB control.

Does IP65 cover a cut end?

Not automatically. Ask how the quoted finished piece, its end treatment and connector are protected.

Can I size a supply from 60 LEDs/m?

No. LED count is not power. Ask for the selected version’s watts per metre and approved feed plan.

Approve one finished bar before scaling the order

Send the opening dimensions, visible length, colour, quantity and destination. Ask for the exact version, cut drawing, one finished sample and an itemised system quote.
