Product overview:

WS2818B is a three-channel IED drive and control dedicated circuit. The chip contains intelligent digital interface data latch signal shaping and amplifying drive circuit, high-precision internal oscillator, 12V high-voltage programmable fixed current output driver and high-precision constant current control module, which effectively ensures the pixels on the drive circuit
The color of the dots is highly consistent. With a unique breakpoint resume function. The chip adopts dual signal transmission, and the two signal transmission do not affect each other, and the overall display effect will not be affected when a single chip is damaged. The user can select the DIN pin or BIN pin of the first chip as the controller signal input pin, and the rest of the cascaded chips will automatically recognize the signal output of the first chip without affecting the overall effect.
The data protocol adopts the communication mode of single line return to zero code. After the chip is powered on and reset, the DIN end receives the data transmitted from the controller. The first 24-bit data sent is extracted by the first chip and sent to the data latch inside the chip. After the remaining data is enlarged by the internal shaping circuit, it is forwarded to the next cascaded pixel through the DO port. The signal is reduced by 24bit for each pixel. The chip adopts automatic shaping and forwarding technology, so that the number of cascaded pixels is not limited by signal transmission, only limited signal transmission speed requirements. Both methods control the same number of points. According to the received 24bi data, the data latch inside the chip generates different duty cycle control signals in the OUTR, OUTG and OUTB control terminals. When the DIN terminal inputs the RESET signal, all the chips synchronously send the received data to each segment, and the chip will receive new data again after the signal ends. After receiving the initial 24bit data, the data port is forwarded through the DO port. Before the chip receives the RESET code, the original output of OUIR.OUTG and OUTB pins remains unchanged. The chip outputs the pulse width of the just received 24-bit PWM data to the OUTR, OUTG, OUTB pins.

Main feature:

2. Built-in voltage regulator on chip, 12V and below power supply only need to string resistor to IC VDD pin, without external voltage regulator;
3. Built-in signal shaping circuit, any pixel receives the signal after waveform shaping output, to ensure that the line waveform distortion will not accumulate;
4. Built-in power-on reset and power-off reset circuits;
5.PWM control terminal can achieve 256 level adjustment, scanning frequency 2KHzS;
6. Serial connector, can complete data reception and decoding through a signal line;
7. Breakpoint continuation, in the case of a single chip damage, does not affect the overall display effect;
8. No need to add any circuit when the transmission distance of any two points does not exceed 5 meters;
9. The color of light is highly consistent and cost-effective. When refreshing;
10. At the rate of 30 frames per second, the number of cascades is not less than 1024 points;
11. Data transmission speed up to 800Kbps.
